UK Day Garden Party & Tea

Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind will host their annual UK Day Garden Party & Tea. Stop by for authentic Devon cream tea, with scones prepared by the Chef at Earnscliffe, the residence of the British High Commissioner, and English Double Devon cream donated by Bakker’s General Store, Manotick. Enjoy the live music by Brian E. Lynch – Guitar and Voice. And, get your imported food and wares from British food vendor Clarence & Cripps. The event takes place at the National Training Centre of Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, 4120 Rideau Valley Drive North, Manotick on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 1pm-4pm. This is a rain or shine event with indoor & outdoor seating. All proceeds are directed towards the training of guide dogs and assistance dogs. Tickets are available for $13 in advance at Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind or by phone at 613-692-7777. Cost at the door will be $15. Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind was established as a registered charity in 1984. Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind has provided more than 850 professionally trained guide dogs to Canadians who are visually impaired from coast to coast. Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind also operates an Assistance Dogs Division, which trains assistance dogs for individuals in the Ottawa area with mobility-related disabilities.
