Stories in the Garden 2019
<< Prev | Next >>
June 25, 2019

Join us June 25th in a leafy Rockcliffe garden for a summer evening of entertainment on the theme “The Music of our Lives.” This annual garden party and storytelling evening enchants guests with stories, music, laughter, door prizes, hors d’oeuvres and desserts – all for just $25. The evening is a fundraiser for the Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers Campaign and grandmothers in Africa who are raising 15 million children orphaned by AIDS. Our storytellers and musicians this year are Kim Kilpatrick and Susan Sweeney Hermon (from the Ottawa StoryTellers), Ilse Turnsen (a Wakefield Granny recently returned from a visit with grandmothers in South Africa), and Stephen Richer (a professor of protest music). The Acacia Lyra Harp Duo, consisting of Susan Sweeney Hermon and Janine Dudding, will add an angelic instrumental touch to the evening. Where: 90 Park, Rockcliffe, Ottawa. Get your tickets from vswinton2@icloud.com or Eventbrite. Rain date: June 26. Organized by One World Grannies.
