An Evening of Sacred Classics with Maria Knapik - Fundraiser for St. Patrick’s Basilica and Orphanage in Poland

Polish-born, Ottawa-based soprano Maria Knapik will be joined by a cast of accomplished Canadian performers, including Montreal choral director Michel Brousseau, Ottawa baritone Luc Lalonde and organist Francesca Bailey to offer a brand new rendition of "Ave Maria" by Canadian composer Gilles Leclerc, alongside well-known classics by Vivaldi and Mozart. The Ottawa Classical Choir will also perform a preview of its soon-to-be-released recording of Théodore Dubois’ (composer of the Seven Last Words of Christ) beautiful masterwork: the “Messe de la Délivrance”. . The concert will take place on Saturday, November 14th 2009, at 8:00 pm with silent auction beginning at 7:00 pm. Tickets cost $20.00 for general admission and $35.00 for reserved seating.
