Shakespearean Classics by the Banks of the St. Lawrence River If you've never been to Prescott before to experience our unique riverside amphitheatre, we hope you'll take the opportunity this summer to take advantage of what is fast becoming the premier outdoor theatre experience along the Seaway. Always lively and exciting, our music-filled productions bring Shakespeare to life. And 2010 will be a special year as we join the celebrations of Prescott's 200th birthday. Season Pass $80 Macbeth – Directed by Ian Farthing Over four hundred years since it was first performed, Shakespeare’s tale of power, ambition and blood continues to weave its magical spell over audiences. Is life controlled by fate or by the choices we make…? Trouble on Dibble Street – Directed by Craig Walker A brand new comedy bringing all of Shakespeare’s colourful characters to the heart of Prescott! Come and enjoy the lovable rogue, Falstaff, trying to win over the hearts of several married ladies… and see them get their revenge! Sunday Series – All performances at 2PM $12 July 18 - ‘m’ Written and performed by Alix Sideris. An original Greek Odyssey as a woman travels through the myths and mysteries of her own Greek heritage. July 25 – Bain & Bernard A Vaudeville Comedy. An hour long show in the style of the "Colgate Comedy Hour" from the '50s. A lively mix of magic, music, dancing, and of course some Shakespeare! Featuring SLSF ensemble member Warren Bain. August 1 – Revelers Showcase eaturing the students from our Young Artists Training Program, this performance is the culmination of their week-long intensive study with members of the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival ensemble. Come and see the stars of the future as they showcase their talent! August 8 – Sonnet & Song An afternoon of madrigals and sonnets - in partnership with local singers Village Voyces.
