Developing a Peaceful mind and Stress Relief
New Ottawa West Meditation Program with Bhante Kovida,
Practices in mindfulness [dynamic and sitting meditation] and talks on insightful wisdom
At the Cambodian Buddhist Temple on 5883 Hazledeen Road, Stittsville
The Meditation Programs planned for (Sundays: April 15, 22 & 29 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm;
Tuesdays & Thursdays: April 17, 19, 24 & 26 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm) will teach us essential skills and practices necessary to restore the body and the mind.
Meditation will help us to reduce the intensity and impact of our stressful daily lives.
Bhanta Kovida has a colourful background having being born in Jamaica, immigrating to Canada and then travelling overland from Europe to India and Nepal (via Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan) during 1974-1975, where he began the study of Indian history and culture, Hatha Yoga and meditation, classical Indian music, and Buddhism.
