World premiere of Andrew Ager’s opera based on the writings of that Venetian rogue. Join the choir and the Ottawa Baroque Consort as they present a semi-staged performance of this classic tale. Montreal baritone Philippe Bolduc. Also Joel Allison, Julie Ekker, Martha Coulthart. Baroque Consort. The first half of the concert will consist of Monteverdi's “Gloria” and “Beatus Vir” and an instrumental work by Vivaldi. Both of these composers worked in Venice, an appropriate introduction to the city Casanova knew so well.
