– Live at the Ottawa Public Library! Come and meet Daniel Poliquin. One of Canada’s leading francophone writers, Daniel Poliquin will read from Rêve de Champlain , his translation of David Hackett Fischer’s Champlain’s Dream. Poliquin is the author of a dozen books in French, mainly novels and short story collections. His latest novel, A Secret Between Us, was short listed for the 2007 Giller Prize, while the French version, La Kermesse, was nominated for the Trillium Book Award, and recipient of the Ottawa Book Award. This french author visits will include a reading, Q & A and book signing.All readings are free of charge.
