Live at the Ottawa Public Library! Come and meet Kim Thuy. Kim Thuy will read from her bestselling novel Ru. This book follows a young girl’s journey from a palatial residence in Saigon, to the squalor of a Malaysian refugee camp, and onwards to a new life in Quebec. Ru, Thuy’s debut novel, was the recipient of the Governor General’s Award for French language fiction.Author visits will include a reading, Q & A and book signing.All readings are free of charge. This series is offered in part thanks to the generous support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
