Ottawa One Million Years Ago: The Geological Heritage of the National Capital Region

Join Dr Allan Donaldson for a presentation on the geological heritage of the Ottawa area. Dr. Donaldson spent 10 years with the Geological Survey of Canada, and 30 years as Professor of Earth Sciences at Carleton University. After his retirement, he founded Friends of Geoheritage, developing programs to encourage public awareness and respect for significant elements of natural landscapes. Come and hear Dr. Donaldson explain, among other things, the origin of several unique features of the Ottawa region that can be seen in only a few places elsewhere on the planet.
