Workshop on Finishing and Gilding Techniques for Woodbindings

At this workshop organized by the Ottawa Valley Chapter of the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild (CBBAG), participants will explore finishing techniques for woodbindings such as carving, burning in of texture, and playing with a dremel to create texture. They will also use dyes and shellac to add a finish, be introduced to the application of gesso, and learn some gilding techniques on wood and paper.

Workshop cost: $65 CBBAG members, $75 non-members
(payable by cheque made out to CBBAG Ottawa Valley)
Material fee: $30 (paid in cash to instructor at workshop)
