<< Prev | Next >>
October 12, 2012

Like many hospitals, Eisenhower Medical Center struggled to control costly hospital-acquired infections and improve best practices. With a growing elderly population, leaders knew they faced an elevated level of chronic and debilitating conditions that could present a yet bigger challenge. Eisenhower chose to address two critical opportunities for improvement: ventilator associated pneumonia prevention and stroke core measure compliance. Using visual surveillance technology and a multidisciplinary process involving nursing, physicians, and ancillary services, administrators built a collaborative environment that demonstrated rapid and positive results. date of event: Thursday, November 15, 2012, time of event: 2:00 – 3:30 p.m., Central time cost of event: HFMA Members: Free Non-Members: $99
